Assisted Suicide and the Corruption of
Palliative Care
For the past two decades, euthanasia/assisted
suicide ideologues have been working overtime to conflate palliative
care-the medical alleviation of pain and other distressing symptoms
of serious illness - with intentionally ending the life of the
patient. The movement`s first target was the hospice, a specialized
form of care of the dying created forty years ago in the United
Kingdom by the late great medical humanist DameCicely Saunders.

In a letter to The Times 16th May, Prof.
Neil Scolding and 15 co authors from around the world wrote;
“Sir, We are convinced that stem-cell research is a hugely promising
area of science offering potential for new methods of treating many
serious diseases. We welcome legal acceptance, public and private
funding, and international co-operation for a range of stem cell

involvement with torture victims who are seeking asylum here. She
became interested when there was a support group in Worcester for
the Medical Foundation for the Medical Care of the Victims of
Torture.
